camping

Okay, so we got back from Park City and basically turned around and went camping with Scot's family. It was nice to get up in the cooler mountains. We had good food, a campfire, game, and lots and lots of dirt. Lately camping has just seemed like so much work, but fortunatly Scot's parent's took care of most of it. Then we just had to keep a hawk eye on Lucy, so she didn't go in the fire or stream. The kids loved collecting firewood with Scot. They would drag back huge pieces singing the dwarf song Hi Ho all the way. Then they would throw them in the fire, from a long distance away since they were a little nervous about it. (But that is a good thing)Playing games is a must when camping. Emma and Ben have certainly caught the spirit! They begged and begged their grandparents to play with them all the time.
Lucy was so dirty! This picture doesn't even accurately capture it. she had dirt every where. And then she ate so many sticky treats that every thing stuck to her. It was pretty nasty, but she loved every minute! I wasn't sure she would ever come clean!
Well that about wraps up that. We stopped at the Rhode Island Diner in Oakley on our way back. It was really good. They just opened a few weeks ago so it was packed but the food was great!
