Dancing Queen

A few weeks ago we went down to Cedar City to see my sister, Marlayna, perform with the SUU Ballroom Dance Team. It was the final performance that we would be able to attend, and it was beautiful. She has become such an accomplished dancer. It is amazing to see the difference in the last few years! She started on the begining team, then she moved up to the touring team. This year, she was not only on the tour team, but she was a teacher of a begining team and an intermediate team. She choregraphed several dances, and was on the team that won 2 trophies at the ballroom nationals. She is most definently the star of the team! He cute husband, Dave, actually joined the team this year, on Marlayna's intermediate team. He did a really good job, and even one a beginners award at a competition this year. They are so cute together! I am so glad that my sister is married to someone who loves her so much!

It was a grand family affair! My parents and Annaliese came, as well as two of my brothers and their families. The older kids were so great during the performance. They just loved seeing Meymo dance.

Before the performance, we went to a special ballroom banquet. Afterwards the kids were playing in the garden out front. I thought this was so cute to see the big sisters with their baby brothers. What cute kids!

It was great to go down and see Meymo dance. We don't get to see them very often and we were so glad that we got to share in this important event for her. Way to go Marlayna (& Dave)! It was awesome!!
