Celebrating Easter

Maybe I will get caught up in my lifetime, but for now I will blog about Easter. It was such a fun day, and I loved having Confrence the same day. It made the Easter celebrations more relaxed, but most importantly it gave me four good hours to reflect on the meaning of the day. As usual, our kids were very excited to see if the Easter Bunny had come. And amazingly enough, he had. I am glad that the Easter Bunny brings more little toys and surprises than candy to our house. Between the two grandmas they end up with plenty anyway.
My kids love peeps. Scot and I hate them, but they all love them. So they were thrilled to find lots of peeps in their baskets.

Spencer was soooo excited to see his M&Ms!! He absolutely loves them. That is mostly what he ate for breakfast.

After thoroughly examining their baskets. It was time for the egg hunt. Spencer was really cute to watch. We were worried that he would try to throw the eggs, but he actually watched his siblings and put them in the carton like was supposed to.
Lucy was so excited and could hardly find them fast enough.
The older Emma gets, the more I worry that these things won't be fun to her anymore. But as you can see, so it still clearly excited to be hunting for eggs.
After the first sesssion of Confrence, it was off to Grandma Cham's and Papa Woody's house for lunch and another egg hunt.
All the kids lined up for instructions.
The eggs and treats were hidden all over the house. The kids loved that, becuase they got to run all over. It did make it hard to get good pictures though, becuase me kids were all in different rooms.

At the end, all the kids enjoyed surveying their loot. They really love that Grandpa always hides a few eggs with quarters in them.
All in all, it was a great day. My kids are all at such fun ages. Still so excited about the magic of holidays, but old enough to start to understand the true meaning of these things.

Looks like so much fun!! Holiday's truly aren't the same without the joy of children who are still completely enamored with the spirit of the day!
