Every year my mom and sister put on an Easter Egg Hunt for all the grandkids that can walk. This year we had 12 participants. It was a little crazy! But mostly so much fun. And thank you to the weather that managed not to rain for an hour or so so we could have our fun. And since it rains pretty much every day that was no small feat.

They were all so excited to get started. Lucy and my niece Emily are such good buddies. They always want to sit by each other.

The littlest kids get to go first, and then a few at a time up until the oldest. So Spencer was in the first group and Emma was in the last. Once again, Spencer had a hay day. He loves hunting for anything, but since he knew there was candy inside, that made him love the eggs even more.

Lucy was all business. She wanted to find as many as she could as fast as she could.

Ben, as usual, wanted to find the trickiest eggs he could. You were supposed to stop at 25 eggs and see how many were left. But when all the other kids were at 25, Ben only had 8. So I had to encourage him to just grab a bunch so the other kids could continue. He just likes a challenge, what can we say.

One of my favorite parts is afterwards, watching the kids open up all their eggs. They get pretty excited. This year there were even some eggs with quarters in them. The hilarious part was that Emma didn't get any money in her eggs, but both Spencer and Lucy who really don't care, got $3. Funny how it works out.
My mom also always gets them each a cute gift. It is such a fun tradition, and the kids look forward to it. Thanks Mom and Eesie for such a great time!!
