Cedar City, San Diego & Sea World

About a month ago, we took a trip to California to see Scot's parents. We stopped in Cedar City to get Sno Cones from my sister at the Sno Shack. Always a good time.
Then we were off to San Diego, we drove all the way. It was long. Spencer really wanted to get out of the car. Finally we got there.


Scot's sister and her family had been visiting his parents. They had planned to be gone before we got there, but a couple nights before they were planning on leaving they were hit by a drunk driver. The car was totaled. But miraculously they were all ok, plenty of bumps and bruises, but nothing serious. They spent 2 days trying to get a rental car that could accommodate their family so they could come home. It was such a pain for them. But on the up side they were still there when we arrived.

The kids were thrilled to see their cousins (even thought they only live 15 minutes away). They thought it was so fun to be with them at Grandma and Grandpa. We thought it was fun to be there with them too. It was a little crowded to have 13 people in a 2 bedroom apartment, but we made the best of it, and had a good time.

Scot's parents have this chair that reclines. Emma and Ben love to sleep in it. Ben is a crazy sleeper however, and every time he slept in it, he ended up upside down. I really am not sure how, but it was funny.
The next day we went to Sea World. Scot's sister's family joined us for half a day before driving home. We were glad that they stayed. And then Scot's other sister flew in to join us for the weekend. It was quite the party!

They have a new turtle exhibit that my kids just loved. It was really cool.

The best part of the day was that we could be together. We loved being with everyone, and the kids especially loved being with Grandma and Grandpa.

Lucy is hilarious! She walked like this most the day. With her hand on her hip, shaking her hips as she model walked through the park. What a little diva! I was very excited to see the penguins, and so excited that my kids love them too. I have taught them well.

After the park, we stopped at a pizza place for dinner. Scot talked our waitress into a free dessert. It was this crazy "messy sundae". It was a mess but it looked tasty.
