Emma has really enjoyed being a Girl Scout. She has had some great experiences and it has been a growing time for her, but I thought that since their troop was quickly depleting in girls that she would want to be done after this year. Not so. She and her little troop want to keep going. That means that they have to move on the next age group called Cadettes.
At the end of each year they have a special party to demonstrate some things they have learned and recieve their award, etc.

They had a flag ceremony.

And a special "bridging" ceremony. They decided that they wanted to make their symbolic bridge across the monkey bars. It was a cute way for them to express themselves. They also planned a dinner and some fun games.

It is always a fun way to reflect on the year and what they have accomplished. This year I was an assistant troop leader so it was fun to get to be a little more involved. Even though they are a small troop they work hard and have a lot of fun.
